Connectivity

The N97 is pure internet gold! It is Wi-Fi enabled, allowing you to surf the net, keep up to date with emails and social Networking or even just checking the news. Once you are in a Wi-Fi hotspot, or even if you have wireless Broadband at home, the N97 uses Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, UPnP technology. Apart from that, it comes with many other really functional features, such as A-GPS, music player, 32GB memory, external memory card slot for expandable memory and also 3.5mm audio jack.

Camera

On the back of the N97 there is a 5 MP camera. This 5 Mp camera gives really excellent images due to the 2592×1944 pixels resolution and Carl Zeiss optics lens. Other good features on the camera function include Ge-tagging, LED flash and auto-focus. You are also able to video call with the secondary camera which sits just above the main screen.

Screen

The screen is a large, TFT resistive touchscreen, 16M colour screen. It is 3.5 inches in size which is pretty big for a touchscreen. Coupled with that, is an accelerometer, this turns the screen from vertical to horizontal by simply doing the same to the phone with your hand! There is also a proximity sensor for auto turn-off and handwriting recognition but also a full QWERTY keypad.

Design

The N97 is really well designed. Push up the 3.5 inch screen to reveal a QWERTY keypad, with actual buttons. This will makes emailing, blogging or simply writing a text so much easier and quicker. It measures 117.2 x 55.3 x 15.9 mm and weighs only 150g which is not too heavy for a Smartphone. Pushing the screen up is easy to do and quick.

Overall, the Nokia N97 is a really good phone. It has so much to offer the user, giving them the best of both Touchscreen technology but also a QWERTY keypad if you prefer to write using the buttons. You can stay connected via the Wi-Fi, take excellent images and also store loads of music and photos thanks to the huge internal memory of 32GB!
